Sean Cox is an appellate attorney with broad experience handling legal disputes in both state and federal courts nationwide. He has been involved in all aspects of such cases, including pretrial and trial matters, but has particular background in complex law and motion practice, post-trial matters, writs, and appeals.

Sean attended law school at the University of Houston Law Center. While a student, he was the Moot Court Champion in the 2000 Federal Bar Association Moot Court Competition, and was the recipient of the Justice Bud Warren Appellate Advocacy Scholarship. While attending law school, Sean was a member of the Innocence Project, representing death row inmates claiming innocence and seeking exoneration thru DNA evidence. Upon graduation, Sean was awarded membership in the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization recognizing individuals who excel in oral advocacy and brief writing skills. Following graduation from law school, Sean joined an appellate law firm in Houston and also held a position as an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching Appellate Advocacy at his alma mater. Sean also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin where he was inducted as a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society.
