Christy attended law school at the University of Houston Law Center. As a student, she received a University of Houston Law Center Public Interest Fellowship for her work at Womenslaw.org in Brooklyn, New York. She later clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas where she worked on several immigration cases involving asylum appeals. After graduation, Christy went to work as a trial attorney for Stumpf Farrimond, PC in Houston, where her primary practice areas where business torts, civil litigation, and appeals. While practicing in Houston, she was a member of several professional organizations and served as co-chair of the Houston Young Lawyer’s Association Professional Development Committee. As part of their duties, she and her co-chairs planned, organized and raised funding for the 2009 “Sidebar at Sea” CLE, where several members of the Houston area judiciary served as speakers and presenters.
Christy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. While at UTA, she consistently made the Dean’s List and was inducted into several honor societies. She graduated summa cum laude in 2004.
She is currently an active member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, the Dallas Women Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice.
